Faroe Islands Adventurous Elopement

Part 3

Faroe Islands Adventurous Elopement

Part 3

The previous parts (Part 1 & Part 2) of our Faroe Islands Adventurous Elopement were about intimacy and a extravagant white wedding dress. This time let’s bring some color to our story! Most importantly, I would like to give credit to Lera & Jura for bringing 3 different outfits to such a remote place and carrying them all the time around. In addition, I must say they are not models and have never done a shooting like this before. However, they did an amazing job and tried everything I asked them to. Guys, you are are awesome! Certainly, I am looking forward to our next adventure together.

During the 4 days we were shooting all around the Faroe Islands I was so pumped and excited, that the time went by so fast. I am glad we had some nice time together sitting on a balcony and reflecting on the crazy cool things we just experienced. However, when I got back home and started to sort nearly 5000(!) pictures I took there, this is the time when I actually realized where we have been and how wonderfully beautiful this place is…

Kallur Lighthouse

We spent quite some time to get there from Sandavágur, but it was absolutely worth it! Those steep hills falls into Norwegian Sea like someone cut them with a knife. Above all, I like this contrast between red dress and green grass. Certainly, Lera is very brave wearing it at this conditions! To clarify – I had my snowboard jacket on, so it was really windy and cold.

Sørvágsvatn Lake

Simply surreal place: the lake is on top of the cliffs and falls in to the sea! Certainly a magical view.

Take a look at some other stories:

Haldmühle zu Bissersheim Wedding – Linnea & Christian

I love international weddings because they have a whole mix of cultures and traditions, ways how people celebrate it and how they behave. This Swedish-German in particular at Haldmühle zu Bissersheim Wedding Location was no exception! Since I’ve arrived and till the moment I left, I felt a very friendly and open atmosphere created by Linnea, Christian and their families.

Steigenberger Inselhotel Wedding Shooting – Giovanna & Francesco

I think weddings are celebrations of peoples love. You can do them literally, as you wish: at a remote island with only a photographer as a witness or, for example, among your friends and family at a beautiful wedding location near a nice lake. This is exactly what Giovanna and Francesco did at their wonderful open-air Steigenberger Inselhotel wedding ceremony and shooting.

Sardinia (Italy) Destination Engagement Shoot

When I was getting my engineering degree (yes, I studied for almost 6 years in a tech university, however never worked as an engineer ever after, but this is a different story) I met Lisa and we became very good friends through all the study time. My passion for photography started back in those days and Lisa always told me that I should photograph her wedding when she will have one. Sure! But, you know how the life is, we moved to different countries and did not have many opportunities to meet.

Meanwhile, I got a text from her boyfriend Andrew and imagine my surprise when he asked me if I were willing to make a Sardinia (Italy) engagement shoot for them! Certainly I am! We have fixed the date and I went to Cagliari.
